When a claim stands ten unbeaten minutes, anyone can close the drop. The holder is credited their claim plus the cut; beaten claimers are already credited 86% of theirs.

Warning label

Caution 1 · Read the stack. The top card is the standing claim and its clock. Every card under it is a claim it beat, each leaving 12% for the holder.
Caution 2 · Beat it. Claim at least 108% of the standing claim. The claim you beat is refunded 86%: 12% into the holder's cut, 2% to the house. The clock resets to 10:00. You cannot beat yourself.
Caution 3 · Stand ten minutes. Nobody beats you for ten minutes and you collect your claim back plus the whole cut. A new drop opens.

worked example

Claims of 2,000 · 2,200 · 2,400 · 2,600 · 2,850 · 3,100 are each beaten by the next. Their 12% cuts add up to 1,818. A 3,400 claim then stands ten minutes and collects 3,400 + 1,818 = 5,218. The 3,100 claimer got 2,666 back.
